Search by Title
Back to Main Search Page
There are two ways to utilize this "search by abstract" page. If you are searching for a single term, either of the forms below may be used. All searches are case-insensitive.
- Use the phrase match. Any string typed will be looked for in the abstracts of the articles. If a wordspace is part of the string, its presence will be required. The wildcard character, *, may be used any number of times. For example, Amer* Slov* will find "American Slovenes"; Carinth* will find both Carinthia" and "Carinthian"; Adami* will find the two variant spellings "Adamič" and "Adamic".
- Use the multiple word match. This method permits the use of multiple whole words or parts (using the wildcard character, *) for the search. A wordspace is to be used to separate tokens. Matches on all tokens are required for an item to be retrieved. For example, Americ* Slov* will find, among other things, "... Slovene spoken in America" and "American policy toward the Slovenes ..." Order of the words in the abstract is not considered, only their cooccurrence.
Slovenian has six letters which may not be accessible from your keyboard. If
you wish to perform searches for items which contain these letters, you can copy
and paste them from the following list.
